These earrings were inspired by leather belts - the copper has the warm look of the leather, and the ring at the top is like a buckle. The opals are so pretty - their flash is hard to capture in photos, but they have multicolor fire in red, yellow, blue and green.
The main square shape is cut from sterling silver and has a crisp, highly polished look. A strap of hammered copper bisects the silver, and then I set flashy natural Ethiopian opals in sterling silver at the center. The whole thing hangs from a hammered sterling ring. It's a unique look that bridges the gap between rustic and sophisticated.
The earrings measure 1 1/4" long and 3/4" wide, and the posts are also sterling silver. Silicone backs are included. A protective coating has been applied to the copper strap to protect the finish.
Each piece of jewelry from my shop is shipped gift-ready in a box with a bow, and a mini polishing cloth is included.
